Arieh Worthalter

Jeff is invited by his friend Max to travel deep into the woods and stay with them at the isolated wilderness lodge of acclaimed film director Blake Cadieux. Jeff has high expectations for the trip: Cadieux is an artist he greatly admires – plus Max’s older sister Aliocha, with whom Jeff is secretly in love, is also coming. The hostile virgin forest and the director’s huge log cabin become the territory where the youthful search for ideals and freedom comes up against the wounded egos of the adults.

Šestnáctiletá Lara žije pouze s otcem a malým bratrem. Snu stát se špičkovou baletkou je ochotná obětovat vše. Kromě náročného studia se Lara pokouší vyhrát ještě jeden obtížný boj – již od dětství ví, že se narodila do špatného těla. Přestože od rané puberty prochází hormonální terapií, na operativní (a z jejího pohledu definitivní) změnu pohlaví není její tělo, vytížené vrcholovým sportem, ještě připravené. Přes všechnu oporu okolí je Lara každý den bez nároku na odpočinek konfrontována sama se sebou, se svým tělem, se svými strachy i nadějemi.
